Who owns the property rights of a work of art?

As an artist, I retain all rights to all works of art that I make (copyright). This includes the rights to images of sold and commissioned original paintings, collages and possibly prints. I reserve the right to make reproductions of any artwork I create unless it is a custom artwork or the collector has purchased full or partial rights to the artwork (this is an additional fee to the original work).

The collector or purchaser may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission. The collector may not use the artwork for commercial purposes in any form.

If the artwork is used in blogs or on social media channels, a reference to me is needed with the photo or in the text.

When you have purchased an original work of art, as a collector you naturally have the right to display the work of art in your home or business. The artwork may not be resold to third parties for any other purpose without my written permission.
